Saturday 19thJanuary, at the Sovilla Library, in Cortina d’Ampezzo it will be presented the book: “Your Safety on skis” by the author Francesco Persio. In Italy, it is estimated that there are about 3 and a half million skiers and that every year about 35 thousand accidents with personal injuries occur (source: Higher Institute of Health).
The ski season 2018/2019 has unfortunately begun with a series of significant accidents.
The purpose of the manual published by Edizioni Slam-Absolutly Free Libri is to disseminate, among all ski enthusiasts, the rules of behavior and in particular the principles introduced by the law on safety, providing skiers valuable tips for safe skiing. It attempts to offer a valid contribution to reduce the risk and number of accidents.
With the participation and support of the “Il Sorriso di Matilde” Association, the only non-profit organization in Italy actively involved with regulatory and awareness raising projects on the topic of safety on skis, as well as of the Bagus Association in the person of President Katia Tafner, with a more global vision in terms of respect for the other and civic duty and the presence of Cortina Ski School.
The event is open to all and it will be an opportunity to confront outright on a topic that could not fit better, except during the Women’s Alpine Ski World Cup races.
